Day 1: Marseilles-Cabries
Start in Marseilles at the
railway station or another location. Visit
Cabries, a medieval village perched on a crag, and the
Edgar Melik Castle museum and see the castle of
Trebillane.
3 nights in Cabries or Aix-en-Provence area.
2: Cabries-Cassis-La Ciotat-Cabries
Visit the town of Cassis with its picturesque fishing
port. Drive through the scenic road of route des Cretes
high above the sea to La Ciotat and see a fabulous
panorama of the area. Visit La Ciotat, the town with the
oldest movie theatre in the world. Weather permitting you
will be able to take a walk in the Mugel Park and admire
the wonderful Mediterranean vegetation.
2nd night in Cabries or Aix-en-Provence area.
3: Cabries-Greasque-Ventabren-Cabries
Visit the village of Greasque and get acquainted with the
local mining culture by visiting the Greasque en Provence
Mining History Center. Visit the ancient village of
Ventabren with stepped streets, old washhouses, windmill
and oil mills. See the spectacular Roquefavour aqueduct,
the largest stone aqueduct in the world.
3rd night in Cabries or Aix-en-Provence area.
4: Cabries/Aix-en-Provence-Jouques-Silvacane-L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
Visit Jouques, a village of character in the heart of the
Aix region with narrow, flowered streets that climb to
the top of the hill and offering delightful walks. Step
back into Medieval times by entering the Cistercian Abbey
of Silvacane by the river Durance.
5 nights in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue area.
5: L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue-Gordes-Roussillon-L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
Visit Gordes, a beautiful old village perched on the
southern edge of the high Plateau de Vaucluse. Discover
the Bories village, a group of thirty ancient dry stone
huts specific to this region. Then visit the distinct
ochre village of Roussillon. The red and orange shades of

6: L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue-Fontaine de Vaucluse-Abbey of Senanque-L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
See La Fontaine de Vaucluse, the most powerful spring
of France, and stroll the charming lanes of the village
of Fontaine de Vaucluse. Then visit the idyllic Abbey of
Senanque in the midst of lavender fields.

7: L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue-St Remy-Les Baux de Provence-L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
Visit the town of St Remy and the site of Glanum, where
important vestiges of the prosperous Gallo-Roman city
have been uncovered. Then discover the unique village of
Les Baux de Provence clinging near the top of its white

8: L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue-Montbrun-les-Bains-Vaison-la-Romaine-L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
Visit Montbrun-les-Bains, a village among the 100 most
beautiful in France and facing the Mont Ventoux. Get a
glimpse of the splendor of ancient times by entering the
Castle of Aulan. Visit the town of Vaison-la-Romaine with
exceptionally rich Roman and Medieval architectural
heritage.
5th night in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgur area.
9: L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue-Gorges de l'Ardeche-Uzes
Admire spectacular landscapes at Gorges de l'Ardeche and
see the magnificent Pont d'Arc formed by nature in the
course of time. Visit the Medieval town of Uzes and see
the elegant itinerary Fenestrelle and the old, asymmetrical
quarters of Place aux Herbes.

10: Uzes-Pont du Gard-Aigues Mortes
